The children’s classes use the Exploring Faith curriculum.
Sunday School classes for Middle School and High School students will
use the curriculum "The Life of Christ - The Basis of Faith". No
historical figure to have ever walked the earth has been the subject of
so much discussion, literature, art, and conflict. Ironically, He never
wrote a book, led an army, or was elected to public office. He wasn't a
famous athlete or musician and never appeared on television or film.
Yet, even from the beginning, humanity has wrestled with the question of
His identity. To this day, the mention of His name confronts people with
the choice of how they will respond to Him. For thousands of years
before His birth, prophets spoke of His arrival and people anticipated
His impact. In the two thousand years since, He has drawn people with
His love and transformed them through His Word. Within these pages,
students will encounter the central figure in history, Jesus Christ, and
journey through the basic issues of faith in Him. They will be exposed
to the prophetic messages concerning His coming, His birth and
three-year ministry of miracles and teaching, and His death and
resurrection. In each session they will be challenged by His message of
hope and invitation to abundant life. For the students, we have Student
Devotional Journals that include daily Scripture readings, questions and
prayer suggestions that are in step with the Bible study. Additionally,
we have a wide variety of supplementary tools that help students and
teachers to see God’s Word in a real and passionate way utilizing skits,
video clips, posters, Bible verse cards, maps and timelines to provide
the best learning experience possible for students.
The adult intergenerational classes welcome all adults including
college students.
The adult intergenerational class that will be taught by
Rev. Bill Thomas will hear about "Great Mountain Top Moments in the
Bible."
The third adult intergenerational class will study and discuss the
liturgical readings for the day guided by the book Keeping Holy Time
by Douglas Wingeier.
